The Alton Chesterton summerhouse is a gem of a summerhouse or garden room.

Whilst the red-wood used is of a high quality, it does not have the same enduring properties as cedar-wood. It will be necessary to retreat your Alton red-wood summerhouse from time to time, just like a garden shed or softwood timber used in the garden, to help prolong its life.

Please note the slatted roof option is not available on the Alton Red-wood range of summerhouses.

All Redwood models benefit from the following high quality specifications:-

Robust framing, mostly 32mm x 44mm planed deal, with 12mm tongue and groove cedar cladding secured with stainless steel nails.

Strong floors, 14mm tongue and groove deal boards on 44mm x 32mm framing, treated with preservative by total immersion.

Quality manufacture as all sections are manufactured in metal jigs to ensure a consistent quality for easy and accuracy of assembly. Supplied in large pre-assembled sections.

Attractive black antique effect hinges, door handles and door stays.
Lockable door - pre fitted mortise lock.

Full set of comprehensive instructions for those who wish to erect the building themselves. A job that can be comfortably done by a couple over a weekend.

Timber Treatment: Your Alton summerhouses will leave the works treated with a special timber preservative. It is recommended that you treat your Alton cedar-wood greenhouse again within 3 months with a good brand of spirit based timber preservative, and then every other year.
