The Elite Kensington
6 is available in a selection of powder coated colours to compliment the standard natural aluminium finish.
The standard Horticultural glass can be replaced with Toughened glass as an optional extra.
If your Lean-To greenhouse is to cover the entrance to a dwelling toughened glass must be used.

The Elite Lean-to greenhouses are manufactured to any length; there are no limits when it comes to the Kensington 6.
Packed full of features found in the free standing models, these lean-to glasshouses bring the joys of the garden into the home.
If you have anything overhanging the ridge of the lean-to, please add 1” (25mm) height clearance for the roof vent to open.

Although it is better to purchase the accessories with the lean-to, seeing as they will be delivered free with your lean-to, you can purchase them at another time if you wish from our extensive selection in our online store.

Q. What is the difference between Horticultural and Toughened glass?
A. Horticultural Glass:
Horticultural Glass is made by the Rolled Glass Process
The rolling process is used for the manufacture of horticultural glass.
The process is achieved by rolling a continuous stream of molten glass between water-cooled rollers.
When Horticultural glass breaks it splinters leaving sharp jaggered edges which must be handled with great care.
Toughened Glass:
Toughened glass is manufactured by subjecting final size panes of glass, to a heating and cooling treatment whereby high compressive stresses are set up at the surfaces with balancing tensile stresses in the centre.
The high compressive surface stresses give the toughened glass its increased strength.
Toughened glass can break under extreme loads or by severe impact with a sharp object, but breaks down into virtually harmless particles. |
