Many parents make the classic mistake of only buying a playhouse or den to suit the age of the child at the time of purchase - they grow very quickly you know - by buying one, with say an upstairs in it, and not having the stairs installed until the child is older enables the little darlings to grow and develop into their new world.

CLADDING
There are two main cladding types available, Shiplap and Loglap or Logroll as it is sometimes known as. These have two distinctive profiles, the shiplap is a flat tongue and grooved board with an attractive scallop at the top, whereas the loglap is an oval shaped tongue and grooved board, resembling a smooth log surface. |
BASE BEARERS
Floor bearers are an important and valuable option as they allow the circulation of fresh air underneath the timber floor and help to keep it dry and sound.
INSTALLATION
Some manufacturers offer an installation service, either as part of the overall deal or as an optional extra. If you are a competent DIY enthusiast, it is not difficult to erect one of these buildings, as they mostly consist of sections which bolt or screw together. If however you are not very confident in this field it would be best to have your building installed for you by professional erectors. |
