Robert Bardin and Robert Palomo, event planners, have opened a Chelsea showroom where they are selling their collection of French and American furniture, lighting and sculpture, most of it dating from the 1920s through the 1960s and amassed over the last 15 years. They have 60 pieces on display in vignettes in the showroom and 150 stashed in a warehouse in New Jersey. Midcentury Italian chairs in their original orange wool upholstery ($4,800 for the pair), near right, face a midcentury American sofa, restored and reupholstered in a gray-green fake suede ($6,500), next to a new Chinese document chest ($8,500) and a midcentury Arteluce Triennale lamp ($9,500).
