Elite Belmont coloured finish

Powder coating

Powder coating is a relatively new aluminium coating technique being first introduced in the early 1970's.
In this process, powdered resins along with coloured pigments are applied to the aluminium using an Electro-static charge.
The aluminium is then "baked" in a high temperature oven causing the powder to melt, flow, and then cure, forming a molecular fusion bond.
The result is a surface - to- coating bonding unlike any other.

Over recent years the application of thermosetting powder coatings on Aluminium has increased dramatically.
The wide variety of powder types now available allow the engineer or architect to specify powder coating with confidence.

Natural Aluminium Coloured Base

Elite grenhouses require a base of some description whether it is timber, aluminium or brick so as to allow the door(s) to slide in the overhanging bottom track.
Elite offer a seperate 5" tall aluminium base for models that do not have an integral base fitted.
Aluminium will not discolour or rust and can also be powder coated to suit you greenhouse unlike other base materials.
Opting for an aluminium base not only eliminates the need for a traditional brick base but also allows you to sit he greenhouse straight onto any solid foundation, soil or grass.
elite's aluminium bases can only be guaranteed to fot Elite greenhouses.

Glazing Bar Capping
Bar capping can only be used with full length toughened glass and polycarbonate.
Elite reccommend the use of bar capping as this finishes off what is already a very streamlined greenhouse.
The bar capping is available in black, white or green.
The use of bar capping removes the need for clips as the capping is attached to the glazing bars with stainless steel screws to hold the sheets firmly into the frame.

Louvre Side Vent
LOUVRE WINDOWS

Having a 5 bladed louvre vent (as shown in the photo) will improve the air circulation of the greenhouse. The louvre frame consists of the side operating components for a 5 bladed louvre together with fixed bolts to your Elite greenhouse. The frame can be powder coated to sit your greenhouse and there are a range of louvre blades such as toughened safety glass, horticultural glass, polycarbonate, or all aluminium blades (which can be powder coated) which gives a lovely complete look to the greenhouse.

The Bayliss Mk7 has been designed for aluminium or timber hinged vents measuring up to approx 2' square.
It fits neatly, close to the glass, consequently taking up less headroom.
This model can be set to start opening the vent at temperatures between 55 deg F (12 deg C) and 75 deg F (25 deg C), giving maximum vent opening of approximately 12" (30cm).

Elite Automatic Roof Vent Openers
It is important to have an adequate number of vents in the greenhouse to increase air flow and avoid excessive temperatures. The Elite opener offers fully automatic greenhouse ventilation and it works by means of solar energy. It opens the window completely 45cm (18") which means maximum ventilation per window and an ideal climate for greenhouse plants. No drilling is required and it can be fitted to all greenhouse makes. This unit has a temperature range of 15 - 25 deg. C and is suitable for lifting up to 7 kilos (15lbs).
